Halloween Treats

I made a coordinating card and treat tag for Jaded Blossom's current challenge, which is to use your dies.

I used only Jaded Blossom stamps and dies to create both the card and tag.

The card base is 5 1/2"x4 1/4" and made of white card stock.  I used the Card Mat Dies for the background mat.  I then used some Distress Inks (milled lavender, wilted violet, & dusty concord) to create the purple night sky.

I used the Card Mat Dies for the two mats on the inside of the card.  I then stamped my sentiment using a stamp from the Halloween Treats 2 stamp set.

The tag was made with the Luggage Tag Dies.  I created the same night sky effect with the same Distress Inks.

Here is a list of the rest of the dies and stamps I used to create this set:
Halloween Dies - bat and large ghost
Spring Dies 2 - clouds
Border Dies 2 - background clouds
Halloween Scenic Dies - spooky scenes
Pick Your Poison - face on ghost
Halloween Signs - sentiment on tag
Halloween Panels - ghost on tag

Fall is in the Air

How about a taste of fall for you today?

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4" and made of shimmery dark brown card stock.  The orange mat is 4 5/8"x3 3/8."  The plaid mat is 4 1/2"x3 1/4."  I created the plaid mat using some Distress Inks and a Tim Holtz stencil called Stripes.  I covered a piece of white card stock with wild honey Distress Ink.  I then layered the stencil vertically on the card stock and inked it up with rusty hinge Distress Ink.  Finally, I layered the stencil on horizontally and inked it with aged mahogany Distress Ink.

The circular sentiment and acorn are both from Jaded Blossom, the new Happy Fall set.  I paper-pieced the acorn, added a little detail with Distress Markers, then adhered it with foam tape.  The ivory circle was cut with one of the Stitched Circle Dies and the shimmery orange scallop circle was cut with the Scallop Circle Dies.  I used foam tape to adhere the circle as well.  The band in the background is 1/2"x3 3/8."

The orange mat here is the same as the orange mat on the card front, 4 5/8"x3 3/8."  The sentiment is also from Happy Fall.  I heat embossed it with a burgundy embossing powder, then cut it out using one of the dies from Scallop Rectangle Dies 2.

Boy's Birthday

Here is a card for a little boy's birthday:

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4" and made of black card stock.  All the patterned card stock is from the Hip Hip Hooray stack by Doodlebug Design, Inc.  The grey mat was cut using a metal die from the Card Mat Dies set by Jaded Blossom.  The long rectangle with the zig zag pattern was cut using one of the Panel Dies from Jaded Blossom.

The two circles are both from the Stitched Circle Dies set by Jaded Blossom.  The dump truck is from Boys Will Be Boys.  It is cut at 2 3/4" and I put it on an action wobble so my nephew can have fun with it.  The 2 on the truck is from Robotz, cut at 1 1/8."

The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom as well.  It is from the So Many Birthdays set.

The rectangle and circles on the inside are from the same sets as I used on the front.  The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms Stamps set Ready, Set, Go!

Beautiful Butterfly

I actually made this for my mother for Mother's Day.  I didn't post it when I made it so that my mother wouldn't see it.  However, I subsequently forgot to post it.  So, here it is (finally):

The butterflies are from Jaded Blossom, the Butterflies stamp set.  The sentiment on the front of the card is from My Craft Spot.  The interior sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps.  I used a Sizzix embossing folder to emboss the white mat on the front of the card.

I Love You S'more

I made this piece of wall art that I intend to give to my husband.  Both his birthday and our anniversary are coming up, I just have decide which occasion for which to use it.

The bears and the fire are from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  They are part of the S'more Love cut set.  I cut the bear twice, one of them is flipped.  I then cut the bow off the flipped one, so that it would be a boy bear.  I used card stock from The Paper Studio, the Great Outdoors stack for the background.

I inked up pretty much every piece of card stock I cut with Distress Ink.  I used vintage photo on the boy bear and tea dye on the girl bear.  The fire is inked with rusty hinge and bow with aged mahogany.  I also inked the marshmallows with antique linen and a little bit of tea dye.  The stools are inked with walnut stain.

The sentiment, hearts, and smoke wisps are from Lawn Fawn, the Love You S'more stamp set.  The hearts are stamped with festive berries Distress Ink and the wisps are stamped with weathered wood Distress Ink.
